Litigation Paralegal (Civil & Criminal)
Lexington Ashworth Solicitors is growing and we are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to support a mixed caseload spanning civil and criminal litigation. If you are organised, deadline-driven, and confident supporting litigation files from instruction through to hearing or trial prep, we would like to hear from you.
The Role
- Support fee earners on live civil and criminal litigation files under supervision.
- Draft correspondence and legal documents, including statements, applications, and supporting documents where appropriate.
- Prepare hearing and trial materials: chronologies, paginated bundles, e-bundles, indexes, and document packs.
- Assist with disclosure and evidence collation and document review.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including counsel, courts, experts, and relevant agencies.
- Keep files audit-ready with clear notes, accurate records, diarised deadlines, and system updates.
- Conduct legal research and produce concise summaries.
Requirements
- Previous paralegal or legal support experience within litigation.
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a client-first mindset.
What We Offer
- Experience across both civil and criminal work (or strong experience in one and keen to learn the other).
- Experience with e-bundling and court directions.
